Meet Our Horses: One Sunny Surprise
This Friday we`d like for you all to meet One Sunny Surprise. Sunny is an 11 year old American Paint Horse Association mare. She is a palomino with a blaze face and one blue eye. We have enjoyed having her on our farm. Throughout her training, Sunny has become a horse that Nicolas really enjoys riding.
For those of you that know us or follow our blog, you know Nicolas is my 8 year old son. When he rides, it`s usually a climb to the top for him. One thing he loves about Sunny is her height. She stands about 14.2 hh which cuts down on his climbing. She is patient though and gives him all the time he needs to get situated and ready to ride. Nicolas is learning to collect a horse while trotting and Sunny has been great for him with this. She is patient and is very responsive to his cues. Another plus with Sunny is that she is very soft so he doesn`t have to put alot of effort into turning and stopping her. The more he rides Sunny, the more in tune they get with one another. She is going to be a great horse for anyone looking for color, sense and just an all around great trail horse.
